The City of San Antonio said Bands of America at the Alamodome, DiwaliSA at Hemisfair and La Villita, and the Veterans Day Parade on the West Side of downtown are all scheduled for Saturday. The city is encouraging attendees to check event details, road closures and parking information at SA.gov/GoDowntown before heading downtown. Because some events will be outdoors, the city also urged people to check the DiwaliSA and Veterans Day Parade websites and social media channels for weather-related updates. Bands of America at the Alamodome The Alamodome is hosting the Bands of America Super Regional on Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7, bringing marching band performances and spectators downtown. With increased traffic expected around the venue, attendees are encouraged to plan their arrival, review parking options and familiarize themselves with Alamodome policies. Doors are set to open 30 minutes before the event start time each day. Attendees are encouraged to download digital tickets in advance and allow extra time for security screening. Umbrellas are permitted during inclement weather, and the Alamodome’s clear bag policy will be enforced. The Alamodome’s northeast and southwest box offices are scheduled to operate: Friday, Nov. 6: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Parking and transportation Public parking will be available in Alamodome Lot B for $35 per vehicle, payable by card only. Parking is limited, and in-and-out privileges are not permitted. Lot opening times are listed as: Friday, Nov. 6: Lot B opens at 7:30 a.m.; Lot A opens at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7: Lot B opens at 4:45 a.m.; Lot A opens at 4:30 a.m. Limited accessible parking is available in Lot A, which also serves as the designated accessible drop-off entrance. For rideshare services, taxis and other passenger drop-offs and pickups, attendees are encouraged to use Lot D at 500 Tower of Americas Way, which provides a direct walkway to the security entrance. Off-site parking reservations may be available through ParkWhiz or Ticketmaster, and attendees are encouraged to review parking locations and directions before purchasing. The Alamodome also warned attendees to use caution when buying parking online, noting it does not authorize third-party advance sales of parking passes for its on-site lots. The venue said passes advertised through third-party websites for those lots are unauthorized, and advertised prices are not established or controlled by the Alamodome. More venue policies and updates are available at Alamodome.com. Trending Dozens of undelivered ballots found in dumpster at Seattle park The ballots have already been reissued to the affected voters.
